Dear Customer/Consumer:
We would like to advise you that the 25% steel and aluminum tariff along with other tariffs that have been levied on foreign countries has been on our radar since the election. Since then we have stocked up on inventory at lower prices to hold of price increases as long as possible.
With that said, these tariffs are starting to hit and we’ve already seen an increase in shipping costs that we have not passed on to our customers yet. However, in conversation with our foreign vendors, we foresee considerable price increases in the near future on plastics, metals and paper products such as garment covers, hangers and poly bags.
This communication is not an alert on price increases just yet, it is to solely advise you that we fully expect to be raising prices on imported goods within the next couple of months as those same costs are passed on to us.
